Referencing newer media types (TED Talks, YouTube Videos, etc) can be a bit difficult.  Here is an an example of referencing a TED Talk using the APA Referencing Style Guide. Note that the month is included. The Harvard System's option is shown here. Scroll down to see the TED talk example. TED's Blog also gives an example, also showing the year, month and day. Choose a method but be consistent.
